Recording, transcripts and privacy
Recordings and transcripts stay in this page’s memory and are lost when you reload or close it. Download anything you want to keep. crackPTE does not upload or store your recordings on its servers.
Optional automatic transcription uses your browser’s speech recognition. Your browser may send audio to its recognition provider. Availability and accuracy vary; it can stop early or miss words. Leave it off to record without automatic transcription, then type what you hear. No microphone is needed to practise with a typed transcript.
All prompts, scripts, chart data and model responses are original crackPTE practice material. This is a practice set, not a full official exam simulation. Independent of Pearson.
How to use this speaking practice
Practise six original tasks covering Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image and Retell Lecture. Read or listen to each prompt, record your response, then replay it and review an editable transcript.
What the feedback measures
For scripted tasks, compare your transcript with the source to spot missing or changed words. For open responses, review whether you covered the main ideas. Transcription can make mistakes: correct the text before interpreting feedback. This version does not assess pronunciation or fluency and does not predict a PTE score.
Before you record
Use a quiet room and allow microphone access when you are ready. Browser transcription is optional; you can type or paste a transcript instead. Download recordings you want to keep before closing or reloading the page. Read how recordings and feedback work or explore all speaking and writing question types.
